Monday

Here is the bear that Tita and papa got Kelsey (I call it Beary bear for some reason, I don't know where that came from) the babies really love it Kelsey REALLY LOVES IT!!

The babies turned 7 months yesterday :) oh how time flies it seems like they were just born. They are changing every day this morning I was giving them their morning bottle on my feeding pillow and Kelsey just started freaking out for no reason Carson grabbed her hand and held it and then took his other hand and was rubbing hers it was so cute. Of course, I didn't have my camera in reach (I need to start putting it next to me on the sofa when I feed them their bottles). It was the cutest thing! Then today when daddy got home he was in the exersaucer and daddy was holding Kelsey and put her down towards him so they could talk and he reached his arms out to give her a hug, he is so thoughtful and already taking care of his sister.

Weekend

So we made it to church yesterday we normally go to the 9:15 service but ended up going to the 10:55 because we were really slow moving yesterday morning. Every year they do a 4th of July celebration and they honor service men and women from all branches of the military and they do a couple other songs and stuff and then Pastor preaches for a bit. Jim said in all of the years we have been to that church this was the best 4th of July celebration. They did do fireworks at the crosses last night they were going to have music and food and then baptize at 8, we had every intention of going but the babies bed time is around then and we didn't know how they would react to the fireworks. Maybe we will go next year if they do it (since this was the 1st one) and the twins will be 1 1/2 then.
We go to Minnesota on Saturday and I have not even begun to pack, I went to the associate store this morning thinking I could find some travel size items but I couldn't. I have a dr's appt on Wednesday morning so after that I think I will run by there and see if I can find anything maybe they will have new stuff by then.

Anniversary

He moves his legs up and down like he is ready to take off :)
Oh if I could only get a hold of the remote I could change the channel
UH! Almost there I just need to crawl a bit
I sit up so well :)

Yesterday was Jim and my 4th wedding anniversary Jim got be another Coach purse this one is smaller than the one he got me last year so I can alternate and when just the 2 of us go out I don't have to carry the big MOM bag all the time. I cannot believe it has been 4 years already it seems like yesterday :) we are going to grill out steaks tomorrow night AFTER the babies go to bed.

We went to story time at the library yesterday and Carson sat up on his own the whole time (I of course was behind him and lightly touching his back so if he started to fall I could catch him). Carson knows if he is getting his picture taken as when I try and push the button on the camera to try and catch him doing something he stops doing it and looks at the camera.

Kids N Pets STAIN REMOVER YOU HAVE TO BUY THIS!

So I worked all morning trying to get carrot stains out of the twins clothes, (must be the acid in carrots because green beans come out fine) I tried shout and oxiclean no avail which is surprising because I can usually get stuff out with those. So after wasting all of this time I decided to email my neighbor Lisa who has researched how to get stains out of clothing, ulpholstery, carpet etc. She brought over Kids N Pets and another thing called simple solution, well I needed to get my laundry done today and didnt want to wait until tomorrow (she told me the simple soultion may be an overnight job) so I put the Kids N pets on it and let it sit for 5 minutes came back and ran it under cold water and presto stain gone!!!! I am going to get some of this stuff next time I go to the store it is supposed to work on mattresses, carpet, clothing, ulphostery anywhere you have pet stains/odors or kid stains/odors.

Apparently it has enzymes in it which are supposed to take out the stains and it even works on stuff that I already dried in the dryer. I went to their website and they carry it at Wal-Mart (from what it says) she found it at the associate store so if I can't find it at Wal-Mart I will order it off of Amazon.com. If you do buy it she said don't waste your money on the spray bottle one for the laundry just buy the concentrate one and use the nozzle to saturate the stain this way you can use it all around the house, since you have to use it as a concentrate on the carpet and stuff for it to get deep down into the stain.

Just had to share about my great stain fighting day :)

Family Get together this weekend

Jim, his dad, Uncle Loyd, Cousin Kevin,Grandpa Elmer,Mikel and Cousin Brian Kelsey refused to take a nap all day so this is her finally pooped out while grandpa was holding her. Look at her arm, I wonder what the pretty girl was dreaming about.
This is one of the gifts Tita and Papa got Carson and Dunning Carson loves it when they took it out of the box he was playing with it and listening to all of the noises it made. Today he was not so interested instead Miss Kelsey was very interested, she is talking to it.
Very, Very flexible I think she is going to be a gymnast she always does something with her legs by her ears and stuff.
Yesterday it rained (what else is new)I still managed to get to tone and tighten, then Carla and I walked she went to New York today to see her dad. Today the babies didnt wake up until 6:30 well they were making noises (babling) but I didnt go up and get them until 6:30 Carson was ready at that point. We went for a walk and hung out around the house (with gas prices high I dont want to really go anywhere) plus when I do leave I find myself buying things (like clothes) which I really don't need right now.
I have not been to the grocery store in a week or so, we are going out of town next Saturday the 5th so I am trying to use up what we have so when I do go before we leave I only have to buy for a couple days.
The babies were exhausted today so I put them down at 6:15 and they were asleep by 6:45 we shall see how long they sleep tonight.

Carson's Teeth

Carson's 2 front bottom teeth have finally cut through obviously they are not big teeth but they have finally punctured the gums YEAH!! I wanted to get a picture but its a little difficult to get a 6 month old to open his mouth for a long period of time. Kelsey has been sticking her fist in her mouth for the last week but I don't see any tooth buds or anything yet so maybe it will be in the next week or so. Carson really hasn't been to bad about the fussing, there were a couple days where they both were fussy bad and today Carson was fussy but other than that it seems to be going well just using a lot of orajel (which they hate but it seems to work for awhile).

They were watching their praise baby DVD here! it only lasted a few minutes
I was trying to get the picture of him kicking his legs if only he would start to crawl :)
They were talking to each other here he was sitting up really well. Look at her all smiley maybe she will be a model (she will probably have the height for it her legs are super duper long).

Pictures of Atari are here

More thoughts....

I was just looking out the window here in the office and thought we might as well declare this season MONSOON Season with all of the rain. Just skip summer completley and on the 21st when its officially summer we in Arkansas should change it to Monsoon. It is helping my impatients grow very nicely, I have some in the back yard that do wonderful but the ones I plant at the bottom of the front steps by the sidewalk always do so so. In years past I have had time to water them with the miracle grow this year NOT! only a couple times have I actually gone out and used it. I told Jim I think I want to plant Annuals next year (that way I don't have to maintain them) since I have 2 babies now and can barely get a thing done now. Also the rain is helping the grass stay nice and green, I guess rain is just very depressing. We could probably skip rain next year :)

MA MA

I think I have posted these pictures before well at least the one of Carson but the other day they just figured out that one of the toys on their high chair vibrates, you have to pull the tounge out of the frog and it vibrates. Also I like this picture of Kelsey its like she is up to something and trying to be sneaky, this maybe what I have to look forward to is a sneaky little girl she has a brother and 2 boy cousins that she will have wrapped around her fingers. I also believe she will be the ring leader and extremely BOSSY!!!! :)

I didn't mention it but Kelsey has been saying MA MA or what sounds pretty close to it for the last week now. I keep saying back to her DA DA but she doesn't comprehend that at all. I think my first words were MA MA as well it must be the mom thing :). I don't have any pictures for today again I am just not in the mood to take any I guess it must be the constant RAIN. I did get out to the fitness center this morning and for a walk this afternoon (just to get out).

Happy Fathers Day/Welcome Atari

Jim liked his fathers day gifts I gave him the babies handprints (I got handprint kits as shower gifts and thought I would make them for Jim for his first Fathers day) I also gave him a picture of the twins.

My sister just called me awhile ago and she had her BABY at 12:55 this afternoon (what a Fathers day present, its like the best).
Here are his stats:

8lbs, 2 oz 22 in long and his name is Atari Alfred she said she has a blog but I cannot seem to find it she gave me the link and its not working right so I will have to wait until she sends me pictures and then try and get her blog address again so I can link it on here.
She was in labor since 6pm last night but didnt go to the hospital until 11 so she was really, really tired when she called. She told me the labor wasnt bad it is the after (I told her I don't know what that is like) and am glad I was not in labor that long :) I can't wait to see pictures but it may be tomorrow before I get any (which is fine, I know she is tired).

We went to US pizza in Fayetteville after church today (since Daddy wanted to go there for his fathers day lunch), we happened to drive by our rental house and since we were in Fayetteville with that we decided to go there. Jim headed back out to Faytteville awhile ago to take care of some landscaping on the house. I hope he is smart and doesnt over do it in this heat!
I took the babies for a walk since nothing I seemed to be doing helped with their fussiness, they fell asleep but when I got home she woke up so I laid her down in the basinett awake and heard her restling around but I dont anymore maybe she fell asleep :).

The babies loved their swim lessons yesterday, I didnt bring the camera and I wouldnt have been able to take pictures since we both have to be in the water with them. Kelsey kept opening her mouth and smiling really big she would kick in the water and then kick me depending which way I would be holding her.

Thats it for today I am going to clean up the house a bit while I have the chance!!

Wonderful Husband

So today was RAINY AGAIN!!! UH!! Carla and I were able to sneak in a walk this morning around 730 before it started to pour. I have such a wonderful husband he came home from work at 4:30 today so I could go and meet Shannon at church and then we went to Fayetteville. We first had to drop off Brett their son with his dad so he could take him home then we went to Once Upon A Child they have sales twice a year. At like 12noon items are 50% off then from 6-9 they are 70%off well this year they did it differently and only some items were marked down (not the whole store like in the past). I found some 12-18 month stuff (which is what I went in looking for) they did have more girl stuff then boy stuff marked down (it probably got cleaned out earlier today) but I still found some deals. With that stuff and some stuff that Jim's mom has bought they should be good (I can say that now, I will know more when they hit that size) at the rate Carson is going he may be there soon.

Swimming lessons start tomorrow I can't wait I have the bag already packed with the exception of a couple towels I am drying. All I have to do is put in their swim diapers and changes of clothes for everyone and we are good to go.
No pictures I think because the weather is so horrible I wasn't in any mood to take any, plus I think the babies are going through another growth spurt they were eating like every hr today but hardly ate yesterday with that I didnt get much done today (I did manage to unload the dishwasher).

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY/Green Beans

Green beans tonight, this was after he had decided to use the spoon himself (I couldnt hit the button on the camera fast enough to get the whole motion).
I dont know why I put it on here twice
Trying to grab the spoon the whole time I was feeding him he was wanting to get the jar (I knew that would be a disaster if he did).
She is a very good eater I think she is going to be the member of the clean plate club she doesnt fuss at all. At least with the green beans we shall see how she does with squash on Sunday.
YEAH I can sit up! Ignore my slippers I was in a hurry and wanted to get the shot

Seriously I am so tired of this rain its 3:15 and has been raining all day (since 5am), there goes my walk for the day. I did manage to go to tone and tighten at the fitness center however it was very wet (and I had to put babies in the stroller), I also had to run to SAMS club and to Hobby Lobby for Jim's fathers day gift.

I just talked to my sister NO BABY YET!! Today is her due date and she was on her way to her appointment she is not convinced he will make an appearance today. At this point she wants him to come on Fathers Day since they are going to induce her on the 16th if he still isnt here.

The sun came out today for about 20 minutes around 7pm which is to late to walk anyways since the babies are in bed. I love my walking stroller however the wheel is shaking in the front when you turn it so Jim tightened up a screw (hopefully that solves the problem otherwise we will be returning it and will have to pay more to get a Schwinn) which is what I really don't want to do. Jim said if it did it again he is going to put a washer below the screw (which he thinks is missing) and then is going to call the manufacturer. You try and save $100.00 and you get junk, so we shall see I am crossing my fingers :).

I made pot roast for dinner tonight I went to WM yesterday and Tyson has this pot roast kit with the meat, potatos, onions, carrots and seasoning packet in 1 for 10.00 which is good since the meat alone is 8.00. It was okay, I didnt use the seasoning since you had to mix it with water and it ended up almost looking more like a glaze to me so I just seasoned with the onion soup mix next time I will use more of it.

I am getting rid of all sponges/mops in the house with the exception of sponges to clean the bathtubs and shower out with but those I buy in a 3 pk (very cheap so I could throw them away often) and use bleachy cleaner with them. However everything else had to go since they are breading grounds for bacteria, I went back to using a swiffer (we used to have the wet jet where it sprayed out solution however that got our trim all messed up) so now I use the wet and dry cloths plus I can see the dirt on the cloth where the mop you just push it around and hair would stick to it. I already use the disposable toilet cleaner sponges (where you use them once and throw them out) as I cannot stand a toilet brush collecting bacteria sitting right next to a toilet.
A couple weeks ago I bought earth stones which are shaped like a square or rectangle and one side has a sponge the other sides are like a rocky material (they are good to use because they clean and are enviornmentally safe and they don't collect bacteria).

I also am getting rid of my sponge that I use to wash the dishes with, we never used one when I was growing up my mom just used a washcloth and one of those brillo pad things every once in awhile when you had to soak out and scrub. With the babies getting bigger and soon will be crawling I am just not comfortable leaving germs around if I can help prevent it. We shall see how it all works out if we can prevent us getting sick or having break outs with allergies then good.
Hopefully its nice tomorrow and I can get a good walk in, and work on Jims fathers day gift. I went to tone and tighten today as I said before and she worked our legs so I am sure I will be sore tomorrow and a good walk with stretch me out.

Wednesday

Here is Kelsey almost destroying the book from yesterday gee!!!
Here is a toy my step mom and my dad and brothers sent
Another toy Here is the tag from the toy Carson had it in his mouth, because he is teething and destroyed it.

Carson and Kelsey were very fussy today maybe it is still from the shots they got on Monday I don't know but I hope today is the last day of the fussiness. I went to the dr today for a physical and he did some blood work which I should have back in a week, which is odd because when I go to the dr that delivered the twins I get my blood work back the next day. Anyways I needed him to check my thyroid since I have been so tired the past few days like to the point where I need the twins to nap awhile so I can get a 2 hr nap in it may not be my thyroid but the simple fact that the twins are getting bigger and are wearing me out we shall see.

CHICK FILEA

Today we had a play date at the Chick Filea off Pleasant Grove we went at 11 which was a great time because it got busy around noonish. Amy a friend from church group put the playdate together so there were some girls there that had toddlers and had babies as well. However all of us with the babies were rocking them in strollers or carseats. It was actually funny we took up like one side of the restaurant with all of our carseats, strollers and kids. I only took a couple pictures of the babies this morning before we left but none at chick filea, I cant seem to get them on the computer right now so I will probably post them later.
Kelsey started getting agressive with a book today :) great I thought they destroyed things when they get to be like 1 not 6 months (I have the picture its quite cute).

Babies 6 Month Dr visit

I think its good
not sure what to think I am more interested in my toy
MMMMM GOOD RICE CEREAL
Thinking about it however wrong side of the spoon in my mouth
Kelseys bib in the aftermath of the 1st rice cereal feeding, Carsons bib wasnt as bad so I didnt get a picture of it (plus he was fussing bad).

The babies went to the dr for their 6 month well check visit here are the stats:

Carson is 16lbs 4 oz and 26 in long

Kelsey is 14lbs and 27 in long

Kelsey has a yeast infection so I had to make a trip to Sams to get her prescription filled, I laughed and told the pharmacist I hope this was the last time I would see him for a couple more weeks and that I wasn't stalking him or anything. Plus her ecezma has returned so I have to still use the cream plus hydrocortizone cream on it, I am going to by the Aveeno lotion and see if that helps (it has oatmeal in it and they say that can help) looka like the eczema is here to stay especially in the summer.

Aunt Lynn came with us since I really would not be able to hold down 2 babies for shots and weighing them etc. Jim had a scheduling conflict at work and told someone he would cover for them when I had told him the date and time of the appt 100 times :) Thank you so much for helping out Lynn I appreciate it. Dunning was very good the whole time he just sat in his stroller, he did start squealing a bit towards the end but I think he was getting hungry and wanted some attention :)

They started RICE cereal today I think over all it went well, of course alot of it ended up on their bibs but they really enjoyed sitting upright to eat and eating from a spoon. He said to give them rice cereal for a week then we can start jar food, which I am going to start on Sunday that way I can remember when to introduce a new food every week.

My walking stroller came today! So very excited Jim and I just finished putting it together I cant wait to use it tomorrow. I cant figure out how to move the picture down here so its the first picture on the top
