Happy 10 months

Waiting for story time to begin just chilling out

Since the front has plexiglass he has to figure out how to touch everything from the side now
BUSTED!!! However he cant get to anything, except he is trying to pull the plexi glass forward and could break it. Yes for those who dont know we had to buy plexi glass for the entertainment center since he was constantly going over there and touching everything.

Duggars and #18 Seriously STOP!!!!

For those who care to know.....
I just got an email from a lady in my moms club, apparently the Duggars are going to annouce on the Today show (or one of those shows) Monday morning that they are having baby #18 and the oldest Duggar is engaged. More power to whomever marries into that family, I hope they don't have as many kids. SERIOUSLY!!! I don't want to offend anyone but STOP HAVING BABIES I think they should have stopped at 3. I know they bring birth control and religion into it but that is old in itself no religion tells you to have all those children.

Dunning

I tried to get him to look at the camera but he was so tired that he kept looking around the room
that was a bit more interesting. However he would laugh and smile after I took the picture (once he saw the flash maybe).


Lastnight Lynn dropped Dunning off and we babysat him while she went to church group. It was soo fun and all of the babies had a great time. Dunning fell asleep in the crook of Jims arm on the chair last night, the babies like it there too. Jim said he must have reminded Dunning of Mikel.


Today Jim took my van in to Honda there was a rattle in the window and apparently Honda recieved internal communication emails on how to fix this problem, but cant issue a recall because it hasnt happened to everyone???? Thats the day in a nutshell, Jim goes out of town tomorrow thank goodness it is only 1 night.

Carson's World

Carson makes his rounds around the house every day, this weekend we installed the gates on the top and bottom of the steps. Last week he sat in front of the bottom step and was trying to pull himself up and figure out how to attempt it (so up went the gates).

He made it to the laundry room on Friday and sat there for a few minutes watching the clothes in the dryer then he again tried to figure out how to stand up.

Again its probably best that Carson is just roaming around and crawling right now, as I know Kelsey will soon but right now its manageable.

Carson and his Crib

This morning I went up to get the babies and Carson was trying to pull himself up in his crib. I found him on his knees holding onto the crib rails!! He is trying to pull himself up on everything, window sills, the entertainment center etc... Hopefully I can capture pictures of him doing it, however it is pretty hard I can't really leave the room for fear that he will actually pull himself up and lose balance and fall over and possibly crack his head open.

Cleaning of Closet day 2

This may take a while since I can really only do it when the babies are playing in the swing or jumperoo (since Carson crawls I cannot leave him unattended). Anyways the pole fell down again for the 3rd time on Carsons side of the closet (I guess that means there are too many clothes on it) so I moved some of them up. In cleaning out Kelseys side (I am being careful though becuase its supposed to get warm again) so I am only taking out things they don't wear or are too small. She does not have a lot of pants (I thought she did) but she does not. I remember I got a cute pair at Target that were black and she wore them alot when she was a bitty baby now they dont fit :) and I am not driving to target with gas prices so high. When I go to Wal-Mart again I will see if they have a pair of black pants on sale (they have the granimals line) and they are pretty reasonably priced.

I got my free CEO MOM shirt in the mail the other day I wore it to the fitness center today very cool. Thanks Lynn for the info on how to get a free shirt, well the babies are napping and I have a lot of housework to get done

Babies Closet

Since its been getting cooler out I decided to go through the babies closet and see what they have to wear. They both have plenty except for Kelsey she is in need of long sleeve shirts in size 12months and up Carson has plenty but for some reason Kelsey only has a couple. So for the grandparents reading this if you find any deals please pick some up for us and we will pay you back. I checked Old Navy and Kohls but didnt have time to really dig through the sales racks as the babies were kind of fussy.

Babies 9 month checkup

So the babies went for their 9 month today, they normally would not need any shots but because there was a shortage of a vaccine they had to get 1 plus the flu shot.

Carson is 27 1/2 in long and weighs 18lbs 5 oz so he is up from Friday (unless he got weighed wrong on Friday). Kelsey is 28 1/2 in long and weighs exactly 16lbs. We dont go back until 1 yr (well in this case 13months) because the dr did not have anything open until the end of December.

They are sleeping now (since there appt was at 10) they totally missed their nap so I am hoping they sleep for a good 2 hrs so I can get caught up on some stuff.

Just hanging out

Carson crawled all around the house today, from living room to kitchen to dining room to office and back to the living room. Jim had left to go wash his car and I believe Carson was sitting by the door waiting for him

Look at Kelsey's arm around Carson, she loves her brother. She also may have been trying to pull him back from playing with the basketball hoop as well.

Carson was sick Friday and Kelsey was sick yesterday all day long! Tylenol did not work I had to give her motrin and Tylenol to get her fever down. She did not want to be put down at all she needed to be held 24/7. Today we had happy babies with no fevers and they napped really well (Carson did, Kelsey only took her morning nap not an afternoon nap).

Ear Infection

Once again Carson baby has an ear infection, I debated taking him to the dr yesterday since he had a fever and then it broke so I didnt do anything then he woke up at midnight with a fever and rubbing his ear. I got him in this morning (he was burning up still 1hr after giving him the tylenol) of course when we got into the room no temp. Anyways he has his antibiotics and is sleeping! We go back Monday for their 9 month check up, Carson did get weighed today and is 18lb 1oz doubt he will change much between now and Monday.
I asked the dr about how many ear infections he has to have until he needs tubes (or the discussion of tubes), she said 4 in a year this is 2.

ELMO LIVE

So Jim and I spent with shipping and tax like 75.00 for Elmo Live (they wouldnt let us use our discount and they wouldnt let us ship it to the store so we could avoid paying shipping). For the babies for their birthday we will see if they like it or not. We don't even get it until the middle of October they were pre selling them online at WM.
Elmo Live sings, dances and all sorts of stuff, if the babies dont like it then we will try and sell it on EBAY to some desperate person needing 1 last minute for a way more then we paid (hopefully). We were going to buy 2 and sell one on Ebay but then I would want to wait until closer to the holidays to list it (when people start doing anything for one) and when the stores all run out but then we thought our plan may not work and we will end up selling it for what we paid.

Look Who's Crawling

It's official Carson is crawling!!! Look where he is headed we will need to act fast in getting the stereo equipment protected. I have a couple more videos I will post later the babies are having issues napping and I have to try and get them back down.

Car Seat update

So I went to Sams tonight and they no longer have the carseats I want as posted a couple days ago. I did find what we want though, they are Eddie Bauer (seems to be the only brand that converts to a backless booster) with the right weight requirements. I found them on http://www.thefind.com/ and typed in eddie bauer adjustable car seat and then it pulled up a bunch of adjustable boosters as they call them. I believe they carry the one posted above at Sears or Kohls and its like 85.00 not bad at all. I guess I was looking at the convertible seats which you can use from infant all the way to toddler but it only converts to a booster not a backless booster, I thought for sure I was losing it since I wasn't able to find the convert to backless booster since I know I had seen it before but then I found what I want so all is good now.

I dont really care where it comes from just as long as it is the forward facing 22-40lbs then 40lbs-100lb backless booster like above. I do need the color to be tan though because that will match the interior of the van. THESE will be the last car seats we will have to purchase so that is a relief so I dont have to go buy a backless booster in a few years for 20.00 a piece.

I know I am a dork to be posting about car seats but I thought I would let you all know what is about to happen with the babies in a few months as we convert them into these seats. It just goes to show how big they are getting!

Other news Jim and I have been eating the leftover food from Bunco on Thursday which were crossiants (sp) and a meat and cheese tray from Sams. This has been our meal for the past few days lunch and dinner to use it all up so at least we got our moneys worth, however I probably wont be making myself a turkey sandwich or ham sandwich for awhile. Maybe I will but on bread not a croissant.

Razorback Game

Last night we went to Denise's house to watch the game with Denise and Kendall the babies were really good until about the last 45 min of the game then they were fussy (we probably should have left after the 3rd qtr) but we stayed until the end. They were both crashed out in the back of the car the whole way home from Siloam Springs so we changed diapers and put them to bed.

Denise has a shiztsu (sp) dog and Carson loved the dog and could not stop laughing, I guess we will be getting a dog someday. Kelsey could care less of course. We weren't sure how the babies would do around the dog so Denise had caged him up but we decided to take her out to see what would happen. I didn't have a chance to grab the camera in time but Carson crawled a little bit lastnight he would take a few moves on his knees and then sit down, maybe he has it figured out.

Car Seats

So I went to Sams club tonight and every time I am there I see the Eddie Bauer 3 in 1 Car seat. I thought I knew what 3 in 1 was infant, toddler and booster which is correct. Only this seat is 3 in 1 for 1 + yr olds so front facing,full back booster and backless booster. They are a bit pricey at sams club like 99.00 each they maybe cheaper online, this is the one we will probably go with since they will use it until they hit the 60lbs or 10 or whatever the law is now. I thought I found the ones at WM but those are for 3-10 so I guess they dont have enough support and are for 30-100 lbs not 22 lbs like I thought.
