Church

Last night was not a good night, Jim was out of town (he comes back tomorrow night) but I think Carson had colic or gas because I could not get him to sleep. I would put him down and he would babble which is fine but then he would scream, I had to sleep with him on my chest allnight long, then when I would get up to put him down he would cry again. SO I slept all night in the guest room upstairs I managed to get about 4 hrs of sleep which isnt bad but I had to get bottles in the dishwasher (thats part of why I am nursing again is I dont want to clean bottles) even though nursing doesnt fill them up as well. I have been trying to nurse during the day then give them bottles at night.

Kelsey had a really bad projectile spit up and instead of them getting a bath today I had to do it lastnight at 8:30 (nice) it was in there hair and everything..

They did much better today!! I debated taking them to the church nursery so I could go to group but I talked to Jim and he said if you take them you get an hr or so break (I never got 2 babies put in their car seats fast enough) granted they went in their jammies :P).

They slept on the way home but now are up but are in that stage where they have heavy eye lids I hope they go to sleep soon so I can take them upstairs.

My moms friend Julie made the hats they are wearing in the above picture, I thought they were going to be for when they are bigger but they fit them perfectly.. it isnt the greatest picture I tried not to wake them up I will try to get one taken when Jim gets home.

Well Carson is babbling away (or grunting) and Kelsey is in the swing she keeps opening and closing her eyes! I wish she would make up her mind :) as long as she is not screaming at the top of her lungs I am good.

I thought I would post the above of Carson because I thought it was funny and cute. Jim had him on the Ottoman with the blanket over him. A couple weeks ago Jim brought Carson into our bed I KNOW BABIES ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO SLEEP IN THE BED WITH YOU!! he put the covers up to his chin like above and he was just laying there sleeping it was cute...

I didn't post anything yesterday because as usual Mondays are busy. The babies were very fussy and needy yesterday if it wasn't Kelsey it was Carson and vice versa. I did manage to get some laundry done but not all of it. Since it was warm out yesterday I decided to take the babies on a walk around the neighborhood in the stroller thinking it would knock them out so I could get some things done, well it knocked them out until we got home then Kelsey started in. It basically went downhill from there :) Jim played raquetball after work so he didnt get home until 7ish then we ate dinner and I basically let him handle the babies as I was really tired and needed to get sleep.

Today has been much better, the babies have slept really well this morning and afternoon hopefully they can stay on this plan all day as Jim is out of town until Thursday (he normally has them from 7 on) so I can get some rest since I do the all night shift. I don't know if I posted or not but we have moved the twins up to their nursery, they are still getting up at night but it is usually @ 2:30 or 3am and then again at 5-7ish and by that time I am usually ready to get up. Jim can't wait until he can put rice cereal in their last bottle before bed so they will sleep through the night we go to the peditrician on Friday for their 2 month shots and he is going to find out then when we can start doing the cereal.

We did have the twins sleeping in seperate cribs however Jim talked to some people at work that have twins and they said to put them in the same crib for bonding (so tonight I am going to do that) Jim was going to do it lastnight but Carson was really Whiny and cried at the top of his lungs so Jim went up to get him and he slept in the swing lastnight.

Above are some pictures of the babies sleeping they have really grown I cannot believe they are 8 weeks and how time flies. You can see now that Carson is starting to fill out like Kelsey is, I have noticed his legs are bigger now and especially his face/cheeks.

Well I got my post in for the afternoon now the babies are waking up from their nap and I must get them fed at the same time thats the thing with twins when they are little you have to feed them at the same time or you will get no sleep or nothing done.

I was looking back on here and the last post I did was Jan 13th OUCH!! Sorry to those who are avid blog readers (CATHY) I think you are about it or you are the only one who has told me about reading my blog. I told you I would try to be consistent but somedays I am so tired that I don't want to sit at the computer and type.
Today Lynn,Paula,and I went to Peggys house for Sheryl's (Jims cousin) baby shower, she is having a girl Addison in March which is soo cool because Kelsey will have a playmate. Not that Carson and Dunning won't be good playmates but its not the same. Paula and I were talking this morning and I told her I think Kelsey is going to have Carson and Dunning wrapped around her fingers and will be VERY,VERY bossy!! She takes after her mother though right :) since she WAS the one who kicked in me all the time and when the nurses would put the doppler on my stomach she would kick it away (probably why she whips her pacifier across the room). I haven't been able to catch a picture of that yet :).
Jim, Mikel and Floyd took the twins and Dunning up to Purdy to see Jims grandpa for the day and are headed back I should have some pictures from that visit to upload later.
After the shower, Cathy, Gary, Greg, Suzette, Great Aunt Peggy, Tara, Valorie, and her friend all came by the house to see the babies (since we didnt bring them to the shower) hence the pictures above.

BTW lastnight Lynn and I went out to Granite City (restaurant at the mall) for a ladies night out for church I thought the food was so so and our waitress was rude so I probably won't be back but if I do I will order something else.

Also, the posts from the 13th are when my sister and mom were here and she is 19 weeks and she made a comment when she left that she loves Kelsey (after spending the weekend with her) but really hoped she had a boy because she is High Maintenance well she is having a boy and is due June 9th.

Busy Weekend

My mom and Sister came into town on Friday (Meredith had never been here before) yes my mom was just here like 2 weeks ago she had to come with Meredith (since they used some passes my mom had).

Yesterday we went shopping at the Promendae mall, TJ Maxx (where I got a cool preppy looking sweater for20.00) and then we went to the other mall in Rogers and went to Old Navy. Old Navy had a 75% off sale I found some really good deals :). Mom and Meredith leave tomorrow :( Meredith and her husband may be back in February when my dad comes down otherwise we are going to MN in July. Meredith has a drs appt to find out the sex of her baby tomorrow (I am going to be on the edge of my seat all day until she calls me to let me know).

I am really tired as I publish this post so if I don't make sense on here I have a reason, today was a LAZY DAY! Jim got up to get his haircut I went to the fitness center to walk and then we cleaned up the house a bit and did laundry. Since it was soo nice outside we took the babies for a walk around the neighborhood.

Kelsey started to get fussy after her nap so I decided I would put her in her high chair and she loved it! Jim rolled her over by the laundry room door and she watched us make dinner and then she fell asleep (I guess pancakes aren't exciting to her). I think since I rolled her around a few times around the kitchen it calmed her down.

After dinner we attempted tummy time (which we started yesterday) both babies did great yesterday raising their heads and turning side to side. Today was a different story Carson cried almost the whole time (we only did it 10 minutes) Jim attempted to do it with Kelsey and she laid on the mat and fell asleep it was like she was soo tired she collapsed. (as you can see in the picture above) . I will figure out how to format the pictures better on this blog soon but you will have to deal with my pictures and formatting for now :)

Tomorrow we will attempt to take the babies to church again!! It has been warm here today and is supposed to be warm tomorrow which is good as we will take the babies out in the stroller for a walk. Well this is all for today as Kelsey is now waking up :)

Okay so today I really didn't get alot accomplished as I had wanted to. I managed to get 1 load of laundry done and it was all the kids stuff ( I wanted to get the floors vacuumed and mopped and the mirrors in the bathrooms cleaned) since Jim is on vacation this week. Tomorrow Jim and I will work on these things and get it done faster and hopefully all while the babies are napping.

Jim had to get a root canal done today and Breigh-Anna (our old neighbor girl) came over to see the babies for a few minutes and then Tricia (a friend from church) came over to pick up the maternity clothes I had borrowed from her (THANK YOU TRICIA) she saved me a bunch of money. I gave her back her clothes plus some I bought at consignment and some a neighbor had given me. In between all of that I had Kelsey crying at the top of her lungs and Carson needing a diaper change and crying as well I made it through. I have learned however that sleep when the babies sleep! Accept the fact that my house is not going to be as clean as I would like it and if I manage to get a shower in great :) if I don't start sleeping when they sleep I am going to drive myself and Jim crazy as I get really moody with a lack of sleep.

Then this afternoon we went to Mikel and Lynns house Jims parents were here for a few days and Jims grandparents came up for a visit to see Dunning.

Fun Day

Okay so I missed a day on the posting (maybe 2) I told you I would try to keep it updated as often as I could but I am just worn out.

Yesterday we went to Mikel and Lynns house and hung out pretty much all day, Jim and Mikel played video games and Lynn took a nap for a bit so I just watched all of the kiddos. The kiddos were all able to just sit there since they are infants and don't do a lot but I am assuming all of them bonded some how. In case you cannot tell in the picture above, Kelsey, Dunning (in back) and Carson. Dunning has some hair and sideburns (kind of looks like Elvis).

We got home about 7ish last night and fed the twins then Jim went to Buffalo Wild Wings with some friends then today he did the same thing to watch Arkansas in the cotton bowl (pathetic game) then Jim and I went to Dillards, they were having a 50% off the current reduced price sale today only.

Jim got some shirts for work and I just walked around with the stroller :) I still have about 10 pounds to lose from being pregnant and didnt want to buy anything as I don't really have an accurate size yet.

Well I am exhausted! Carson seems to be having a growth spurt or GAS!!! so we havent been sleeping that well. We have stayed consistent on formula and it only seems to be happening at night so I don't think its GAS because he would have an upset stomach all day long. UH! I hope he is good tonight I know they will grow out of it but I want it now.
