NEW CAR

Mine is white! It is cool it has leather seats dvd player and when you put the van in reverse it has a camera in the rear view mirror so you can see (if I got the navigation it would be on the navigation screen) but I believe that is on the touring edition or more money :) we traded in my accord of course (very sad to see it go) but I am really impressed at the van it drives like the accord and it doesn't sit to high either.
Today I got a new HONDA ODYESSEY minivan, now I could have waited another couple years but Jim decided we needed a van with the twins. I didn't actually take a picture I just took it from the Honda website (I will probably get sued or fined for republishing it) but oh well.
No pictures of the babies today we really didnt have time, I will try to take some tomorrow. We have to go to Honda at 1 to get some things added to the van so maybe when we get home from there. I have a lot of laundry to do again tomorrow and have got to clean the floors and bathrooms.

FRIENDS

Carson and Isabella
Kelsey and Isabella, I guess Kelsey thought it was Carson and decided she was going to try and put her fist in her mouth.
Isabella and Kelsey (Looks like Isabella is pushing Kelsey away, TALK TO THE HAND)

Yesterday we had Isabella over she is 6 weeks old and very cute!!! The mommys had some adult conversation while the babies ate, slept and of course cried. I have pictures I will post of that plus I have pictures of Carson and Kelsey in their bouncer they have figured out how to hit the animals and it makes the music and lights go on. I will post the bouncer pictures later on they are still on the camera which is in the other room and I would have to hook it up to the computer where on the laptop I can put the card in the computer (which is a lot easier).

Jim has decided we need a bigger car since with the twins there is only room for 4 people in my car so the babies and us, which makes it hard when my mom comes to town because then we have to move the car seats to the truck so everyone will fit. We had found a 06 Toyota Sienna mini van that was fully loaded and had 27K miles on it for 27K but we can get a new one for a few thousand more, so we are going with the 08 Honda Odyessey. It is White and is fully loaded except there is not the navigation (which is fine I wouldn't use it, we usually mapquest everything anyway) plus I think Navigation would be a pain to use. We are going to the dealership on Friday (Jim is out of town tonight) so hopefully we will drive it home on Friday (or Saturday). I guess I am okay with a mini van, I would like a Tahoe or Suburban but they are to expensive right now so we will do the VAN and then in 5-8 yrs we will get a suburban.

Jim got me a new laundry sorting basket thing last week (its really cool) Sams club had one that was like 50.00 and you could take the bags out and dump them in the washer. However this one is made by TIDE and it was 15.00 at the associate store and you have to take the clothes out when you want to wash them (and throw them into the wash instead of the whole bag) it has wheels so I can roll it into the laundry room and it has 4 bags and is collapsable if you wanted to fold it up ( I don't see why you would though if you are using it every day). Anyways it has made my life so much easier now the laundry isnt on a pile in the laundry room, I can take out the clothes from each section and throw them in the wash.

How to feed twins

Here is Carson in the jumperoo I needed to put him in there for 2 reasons, 1 to see if he liked it and to get him used to it so eventually he will figure it out on his own. Reason 2 is I needed to get some stuff done and Kelsey was sleeping in the bouncer so I figured if I could get in 10-15minutes of laundry that would be great. (He doesn't look to happy though) Jim put him in it later on and he was playing with some of the buttons to get the music to come on. He still can not spin around in it and his feet don't quite touch the ground so he cant get it to bounce yet but he will.

Several people ask how do you feed twins? When Jim is home we each take one and feed them however when he is gone (during the day) or when he travels I have a pillow that is designed to feed twins. It is like a boppy pillow only bigger and the babies lay on there in the football hold position. I am attaching the link to the website so you can take a look at the pillow to get a better idea. You can use the pillow to either nurse them or to bottle feed them. With twins it is important that they stay on the same schedule as much as possible when it comes to eating and sleeping. Sometimes during the day I will get them off the schedule by 30 minutes or so but that is it. Usually by 5pm we get them back on the same schedule so I am not up all night.

http://www.doubleblessings.com/ then you click on the feeding link and it will take you to the feeding pillows, just for anyone that is curious.

Valentines Day 2008

Last Friday daddy got home from being gone all week (YBM in KC so he was excited to see his babies and see how big they got so he took some pics of them). I got these sleepers for a shower gift they are 3 month size which the twins are wearing now no more NewBorn stuff. I will have to go through all of their clothes this weekend and put the NB stuff away for now and decide if I am going to sell it in the Garage Sale in May or consign it, I think I am going to consign the name brand stuff like Gap, Old Navy etc and garage sale everything else but I will see how well I do and what I can get for them at the sale.

Kelsey on my knees today!! I was sticking my tounge out at her and she was laughing and trying to stick her tounge out back at me looks like she was successful :)
Look how big they are, especially Carson its almost like Kelsey has taken a break and isnt eating a lot and now Carson is catching up to her and eating like a horse. I know when people see them in their carseats they ask if he is bigger and I know his head is bigger but now that I look at him he may be a bit bigger than her.
This was superbowl Sunday at Mikel and Lynns look how much smaller she was compared to the previous pictures and that was a couple weeks ago.

Happy Valentines Day! Of course I got my roses from Jim, and he brought home a chocolate bundt cake for desert tonight (he is going to pick up Olive Garden my fav too bad we never went there when I was pregnant) and we are going to have it for dinner. Life with kiddos consists of either taking them with you or eating here with them or finding a babysitter we chose to eat here. I took the babies for a walk today in the stroller (I like to walk when its nice out since we have some hills in our neighborhood) and with the wind blowing I had to really work, plus it knocked the babies out for awhile (maybe they will sleep well tonight).

I am putting some pictures on here because it has been a while since I have done that or posted (I honestly try but some days I am lucky to get a shower) and the babies are HUGE!!! Especially Carson his face and his wrists are bigger than ever. Both of them are eating about 5-6 ounces now at each feeding, I am trying to still nurse them but its hit or miss now as they are just so hungry all of the time (growth spurt). Last night I booked our vacation to Las Vegas we are going April 28-May 1 we are really excited, plus we chose to go during the week because for the airfare and hotel it was almost $300 cheaper than the weekend plus it will be less crowded. We are going to stay at the MGM Grand we wanted to stay at the venetian or Mandaly bay but this is just as nice for way cheaper. No we are not bringing the babies my mother in law will be in Tulsa the weekend before and will be coming here that Sunday and staying until we get back on Thursday, we have to fly out of Tulsa so we need to leave early on Monday the 28th.
Well, I will try to post tomorrow!! or if they do anything funny tonight I will put more pictures on then

Monday, February 11, 2008

Okay so I haven't posted since Feb 1st I told you I wasn't going to be able to update his all the time. Jim went to the year beginning meeting all last week so it was me and the babies Mon-Fri evening boy I was gld to see him when he got home. On Friday I decided I needed to take the babies out and we went to Once Upon A Child in Fayetteville, the babies are out growing all of their NewBorn size clothes and did not have a lot of 0-3month stuff or 3-6month stuff so I went and bought them stuff. Now I did spend more than I wanted to but I got all different sizes and some really good brands, GAP,POLO, Tommy Hilfiger, Old Navy etc.. And they had boys stuff on clearance so I got some jeans and a couple shirts for 1.00 no girls stuff was that price but some of the jeans I think Kelsey can wear too.
I just got both babies down for a short cat nap (I am sure of it) I need to finish the vacuuming (sp). I will post some pictures of the babies later on tonight or this week (Jim is going out with some work buddies after work and not sure what time he will be home) and how exhausted I will be. I would still like to go to the fitness center (I have to drop another 10 pounds which they say the last 10 are the hardest).

Babies Dr Appt

So the babies slept in today like until 8:30 and I had to wake them up, if we didnt have to go to the peditrician I would have let them sleep. Maybe its a growth spurt or something or that its cold and they didnt want to get up, they woke up at 5am to eat and I put them back down then. I didn't take them upstairs then I left her in the swing and him in the bouncer.

We went to the peditricians office and we got right in which is surprising since they closed early yesterday due to the weather but both babies weight 8lbs 14 oz and Kelsey is 21 3/4 long and Carson is 21 1/4 long. I knew they were bigger obviously by looking at them, but I didnt think almost 9 lbs each I thought maybe they would each be almost 8lbs each, I am not complaining its just that time has flown by.

Tomorrow I get my hair cut last time I had it cut was before Christmas so I am definatley due, then I have to run a couple errands and run by the associate store (last week they had diapers there a limit of 2 pks per family per day) but a pack of 56 diapers there was 4.50 compared to 10 or 11 dollars at WM. They don't have diapers everyweek and its hit or miss on any item, Jim said to just start going every week and see what they have. Then I need to run by the fitness center and work out on the elliptical machine for 30min or so, I was going to go to YOGA last night but b/c of weather that didn't happen.

The babies are sleeping still (since they had to get shots) they briefly woke up and I fed them but now they are out again, I did have to give them a little tylenol as they both had tiny fevers. Hopefully Jim and I will be able to eat dinner before they wake up, I was able to make cookies and dinner (taco soup) and not get interrupted not that I mind but I like to spend as much time with them as I can so if I can get the stuff done early enough then we can hand out.

Well I may post pictures tonight not sure, I have a lot to do as Jim is going out of town next week ALL WEEK!!! so I must start working on the laundry.
I think I may have stated awhile back that we did move the babies upstairs and that Carson is not liking it to well I did ask the peditrician for suggestions he said to let him CRY IT OUT!! they need to learn out to fall asleep so tonight we are going to turn down the monitor and hope for the best (obviously if its more than 2 hrs then I will get them up). Wish us luck!
