SICK

No pictures we are all sick. All of us have colds (which we have been battling since Friday). On top of that we took the babies to the dr today (before the holidays) and as I thought (mothers intuition) Carson has a double ear infection. Kelsey has an ear infection (the NP thought it was wax first and took that out then saw the infection) also she has pink eye and I have PINK EYE.
I thought Kelsey had it yesterday b/c her eye was really matted and I kept having to clean it. Then of course today my eye was killing me, at first I thought maybe I had an eye lash in it and it didn't dawn on me at the peditricians office to ask her to look at my eye (shes a peditrician) and I was concerned about the babies and it didnt look that bad. By the time I got home from picking up ALL OF THE PERSCRIPTIONS (like 4 of them) and only 2 of them were 4.00 each (nice) my eye was swollen and really red. Jim said I better call the dr tomorrow I said I better just head up to WellQuest which I did and they got me in right away. Great place to go if you have to go after the drs office closes or you cant get in right away. You have to wait awhile sometimes (but you usually have to wait at the drs office too). The dr walked in the room and wouldn't shake my hand because he didnt want it and told me I definatley have it and he gave me some different drops then what the babies have (this one has a stereoid in it). Nice!!!
I have to use it 4x a day and Jim is using it too since he doesnt want it either.
My mom comes in tomorrow hopefully I can see to drive and pick her up (or I will be calling Jim).
In a nutshell! The NP at the peditricians office said here are perscrptions and ear infections for Christmas. HA HA!!!!

Playing and taking a few steps

So I came into the living room yesterday only to find Kelsey had made her way into this toy basket and was playing. By the time I got the camera and snapped the picture she was on her way out.
Carson took a couple steps again today. For the past couple days he has been letting go of things and standing alone for a minute or so, yesterday he started moving his feet a couple steps. The ladies at MDO said he was all over the place with the walker and took a couple steps by himself. I have a video of it but Blogger is not cooperating so maybe I can get it downloaded tomorrow.

Lights on the Bentonville Square

We took the babies to the square on Saturday night we left right before it got dark to show them all the lights. I think they enjoyed it! We then saw Mikel and Lynn's car parked and I said they are probably in the Station Cafe eating and thats what they were doing. They were actually finishing up and we left and decided to go back in to eat as well. Thanks Mikel and Lynn for the idea after smelling the place I was sure craving a burger.

Atari/Tree and story time

Here is a picture my sister sent me yesterday, I cannot believe how big he is getting.

He is always soo happy I remember when the babies loved the camera at this age, now they still sometimes do (at least Carson does by looking at the picture on our Christmas card) which NO I have not printed out yet I am going to pick them up at Sams next week when the babies are at school and I will get them addressed next week. I know I usually have them sent out by now but the babies keep me really busy and I never thought that at 8:30 I would be ready for bed.

We went to story time at the library and Daddy came over from work to help join in the fun. Thank you daddy it made it so much easier on me not having to keep 2 contained. The last time I went by myself I ended up having to put them in the stroller 1/2 through and let them participate from there. We put the tree up lastnight however I did not get a picture I will hopefully get one tonight either before bunco or after and I will post it on here. We put it upstairs in the front room thank you to my mother in law for the suggestion. I didn't think the ceiling would be tall enough but it worked now I can just shut the door if need be to keep the babies out. They really don't hang out up there so I shouldn't have any issues, I took them in to look at it this morning but they were like whatever. Maybe it will be different tonight when the lights are on.

Look Who's 1

I love how blogger lets me organize these pictures this one should be at the bottom and so on but you get the idea. Maybe I just dont know how to use blogger if some one knows how to organize pictures on here please let me know. Happy BIRTHDAY BABIES!! MOMMY AND DADDY LOVE YOU!!!! We went to Missouri today for a family get together and it was at Jims grandpas church and he found this curtian which was hiding all of this stuff here he is going in.
Jims grandpa Elmer and the twins with their 1 yr cupcakes

He didn't like the cake as much as Kelsey Belsey

MMMMMMM good

Thank you to Daddy for picking out this cake (well we all went to Sams but he knows what he is doing so I had him fill out the form) we took the cake to all of the family get togethers today with the Hope that it does not make it back to our house.

Here they were 1 year ago today

The afternoon they were born, if you remember Carson didnt get to spend alot of time with us so we have a lot of pictures with Kelsey (he had a problem keeping up his body temperature so he had to stay in the nursery under heat lamps and bundled up).

Daddy and his babies

The morning of their birth, I was waiting for them to take me down to the OR oh yeah I got up out of this bed and walked there (with assistance of course) the nurse also did hold close the back of my gown too :)

More

Bathtime at Papa and Titas I think Kelsey was done

Papa and Kelsey so happy! She loves Papa and her daddy Papa came over last week when he was in town for work and Kelsey was loving on him.

There we are with the wagon on their first ride

Here is a toy my sister got them for their birthday it is a LeapFrog rock and groove table (or something like that) my sister said it was one of the top rated toys for 1 yr olds. I had a video of Carson playing with it but it was too long and wouldn't let me download on here I will try to get a shorter one this week.

Below is Carson walking around the house with his walker, he is getting really good.

What we have been up to

UH! hello to you camera and Daddy Pretty girl in her new outfit I couldn't get her to open her eyes

With Daddys hat on, I think she is saluting someone :) (her eczema (sp) on her cheek was bad here). I ended up having to break down and spend $15.00 on a jar of Aquaphor ointment and so far it seems to be working we shall see. One of the teachers at Mom's day out recommended it and someone else told me about it too and they said it really worked.

Oh I need to get that Elmo down so bad!! He tried everything he could to try and reach him at least it kept him occupied and not so whiny (they haven't been feeling well, they are both teething really bad and have colds).

Jim's parents got us this walker for the babies when we were at their house I have those pics but they are on my memory card and on this computer I don't have a slot so I have to wait until tomorrow to get the other ones off the laptop. Anyways he is getting really good at walking behind this. We took it around the living room and into the kitchen on Sunday he was grinning ear to ear.

Messing around with daddys hat, please forgive me for the very dirty shirt he likes to take his BIB off while eating now. I don't think they put their bibs on today at school because they had some food on their shirts when we got home I guess I will have to tell them that bibs are in their bag. This was like 4:45 by the time I took this and it was really bad but too late to change his shirt so I just left it on otherwise I would have already changed him.

Sorry the pictures are kind of out of order I couldn't get them all to download right with blogger.
KELSEY IS STANDING NOW SHE PULLED HERSELF UP IN HER CRIB THIS MORNING AND THEN A FEW MORE TIMES TODAY!!! YEAH KELSEY!!! Of course no pictures of it maybe I can get some tomorrow.

Sams Club has 2GB memory cards for $9.38 so I bought one yesterday my old card was not as big and was full so I was having to delete stuff and it would always say memory card full. I put the pictures on the computer and back them up but then I leave them on the camera so when I am out and people ask me if I have any pics I can whip out the camera. Jim also gets on my case about developing them, I don't do it enough. I try to do it every 3-4 months but I like to wait until I have a lot of them to develop that way I can sit down once and go through them and get copies made for family etc. Sams will be seeing my big order next month, before the babies were born I did like 80+ pics then I did 50+ for their announcements now I am sure I will have another 80+ again. I need to probably start doing it every month its just time consuming to pick which ones etc... Obviously I am really excited about the memory card I mean for $10.00 thats a steal .
Below is a video of Carson and I having some silly time!! He loves to grab Cameras, and cell phones, remotes etc.. so of course he is trying to grab the camera away from me.

Below is Carson with the walker it wasn't that great since like I said he takes it all over and does really well. It was coming on "witching hour" so he had other things on his mind.

Moms Day out

The babies started school today, however I did not get a picture because they were kind of fussy when we left and I left the camera at home. After dropping them off I organized their closet, I had boxes of clothes everywhere so I started marking them for a future garage sale and organizing them. Like what box is going to contain 25cent items, etc....
I also changed the sheets on their cribs and made our bed, I didnt get a chance to clean since the garage sale project (still not complete) took all of my time (I will keep plugging away at it next Tuesday). Its easier for me to price it all now and stick it in the boxes and then I just have to pull them out the night before the sale.

When I went to pick up the babies the teachers said they were very good (no surprise) they napped well and they ATE well, she said she had never seen babies eat so much. I packed them 2 jars of food and a thing of AppleSauce and fruit (which they didnt eat, dont know if they thought it would be too messy or what). They also had a couple bottles of formula and juicey.
Kelsey of course took all the other babies pacifiers and played with them (she is such a bully) :)
That's okay I love her anyway!!!

Weekend/Zoo

At the zoo, we couldn't get her arms in so this is how she was posing
He was licking the booth so we had to hurry (gross nasty germies)

monkeys

on the walking bridge with daddy and Tita all bundled up

Going down the slide she was really happy I just happened to not get a picture of it

At the zoo papa was holding Kelsey she loved it

In their Christmas present that Tita and Papa got them they love the wagon we took it around the block they loved it.

Kelsey girl in the neighbors swing

Carson going down the slide he loved it he would laugh and laugh only he wanted daddy to help catch him not mommy.

We went to Jim's parents this weekend and we all had such a great time, the babies really loved it. We played on the neighbors jungle gym, went to the zoo Jim and I got to go out to eat while Tita and Poppa watched the babies for us. We got home yesterday around 11 ish and I had to get some laundry done and go to the store since we had no food in the house.
The zoo was fun, however there were not alot of the animals out so some of the exhibits were pretty scarse (sp), we will go back in the spring or summer when the twins are bigger. They just really looked at some of the animals but really didn't comprehend any of it. They still had a good time though and so did I just being outside was nice.
Friday we went to the Walking Bridge and walked from one side to the other and waited for a barge to come in it was VERY VERY windy on the bridge and miss Kelsey kept kicking off her shoes and socks and Tita kept putting them back on her (It was quite funny). After the zoo on Saturday we went to the mall and did some shopping for the babies (they needed some winter clothes bad) since they have outgrown stuff they have. Thanks to Tita for helping us find some good deals now the babies are set for fall/winter and maybe into spring.

Election Day

Thank Heavens its Election day, I will be so glad when this political stuff is all over. Now I am not saying I have not enjoyed some of it but every day non stop to hear about it gets old. I know I am not in control over who our president will be, I know that God will determine that and all I can do is continue to pray that the right candidate gets chosen.
I voted on Oct 20th the 1st day they allowed early voting, so I didnt have to wait in line for a long time (I saw on Good Morning America) today that people in WV were lined up like 3 blocks, they must not have early voting there????

Grass and sippy cups

He's not sure about it!
He is chasing her

So they braved it and decided to crawl around in the grass today, they had such a good time. However Kelsey got a bit confused and started fussing because she couldn't figure out how to get back out.
Jim is on vacation this week and we are going to see Jims parents in Mayflower on Thursday. We are going to go to the zoo so it should be fun. The babies clap now when they are excited so they will clap at the animals.
We graduated to sippy cups today, we started last night instead of their nighttime bottle we did sippys and we are doing them during the day too. We did do 1 bottle today but thats it.... I bought some more sippys today at WM I had to go to pleasant grove WM since Bentonville only had the blue ones left nice! I think I have given up on Bentonville WM and will contiune to go to pleasant grove, plus with the Target coming soon I think they are price comping the sippys were 10 cents cheaper at PG today.
We shall see how long we last on sippys we may still use bottles but for the most part its sippys

Halloween

Kelsey giving Dunning a kiss :)

Not a happy bat princess she was so tired and would not take a nap ( this is her typical look though). The happy Lion cub behind her is having fun, I had to snap the picture before he took the hat off. She was happy at Jims work so maybe she just needed a break from mommy or something :).

Happy Halloween!

We went to the fitness center this morning with out our costumes on becuase I didn't know how they would handle it with their costumes on all day. We went to see daddy at work today and walked around we got a couple suckers but thats it. We are going to have them lick them tomorrow and see if they like it.

Tonight our neighbors had a get together outside we went over there and ate some food and chit chatted then that broke up as people went home to get ready to trick or treat. Mikel and Lynn dropped Dunning off so they could get a bite to eat, and the babies crashed out.

Happy 11 months

I left the room just for a second and this is what I find, I guess the toys I had out weren't good enough.
Very tired here and refusing to nap :)

My BABIES are 11 months old today I am totally shocked on how fast it has gone by and that this time next month they will be 1 officially toddlers.

They did not nap at all today, maybe thats the sign of whats to come :). We had a good day other than it being freezing this morning but by this afternoon it was nice and we went for a walk.

I have a couple videos but Jim is at his University of Phoenix training and has my laptop and for some reason I cannot download videos on this SLOW computer so as soon as he gets home or tomorrow sometime I will put them on here.

Sick/University of Phoenix

So I made an appt today to get Carson in to see the dr since he hasn't been feeling well the past couple days. A couple of the girls at story time said he didnt look that great (like maybe an ear infection or something). He had all the symptoms of an ear infection minus the fever. He pulled on his ear, runny nose, doesn't want to nap or fusses when laying down etc.

So after waiting 30 minutes for the dr (I almost packed up and left since Kelsey was getting fussy) turns out its the stomach flu. The dr said it has been going around like crazy, I told him that come to think of it a lady in my moms group emailed the group yesterday saying she had it and knew of someone else who did and their child had to be hospitalized for dehydration. He told me to give him tylenol and motrin and plenty of fluids and it will have to work itself out. Nice!!!! Now I dont feel that great either and I think Kelsey has the stomach flu as well now because of her diapers. I swear the drs office knows us by name we have been there so much this year, also we go tomorrow for their flu shot booster.

Also they didnt have a NAP today at ALL so they were really tired, like Jim couldn't play with them when he got home (usually he plays with them for 30 min or so) but not tonight poor babies. I have a video of Kelsey laughing over nothing (or I cant figure it out) I will post it tomorrow.

Jim got a pt teaching position at the University of Phoenix he starts training on Wednesday (4 Wednesdays) then he teaches a class with a mentor. I am so happy he gets to do this, it will look great on his resume.

Today the information on the MOMS day out program came, I am excited. However starting the beginning of December I will have to pack them a lunch so I have no idea what to pack them (well I know their milk in sippy cups) since we will be experimenting with different foods since they wont need the baby food anymore. I was thinking yogurt, fruit cups (with water only), cheese and bread maybe!!! I will have to research it and just go with it. The first few weeks while in the class they will bring baby food.

Kelsey Crawling

You can't really tell here but Kelsey has curly hair (or at least wavy for now) when you look at her though she has some curls behind her ears. I had natural curly hair when I was a baby/toddler we shall see how curly it gets.
Yesterday Dunning came over I watched him while Lynn had an appt the twins were sleeping for most of the time he was here. I guess the entertainment center is appealing to all Hancock babies.

Crawling toward something

She tries to pull up on the jumperoo now, since he does it

There she goes

There she goes again!!

Miss Kelsey is crawling, however she is no where near as fast as Carson but at least she is doing it now. She is also trying to pull herself up to copy her brother :).

I think Carson has another ear infection he woke up off and on last night (I heard him on the monitor) but never went up there. Then today he was very fussy and every time I laid him down to drink his bottle or drink out of the sippy cup he cried. I am going to see how it goes tonight/tomorrow morning and get him in if needed. He does not have a fever and is not pulling on his ears so it may just be teeth but who knows.
Lynn invited us to the pumpkin patch today but with Carson being VERY VERY fussy this morning and I had loads of laundry to do and some housework to do I decided to pass. It was also around their morning nap time and I knew they wouldn't sleep if we were there. (I think we may be slowly weaning out the morning nap).
