Little Rock Jim's vacation and Toddler Beds

Playing with chalk before bath time, they love playing outside with Jim when he gets home from work. I love it to because I can clean up the house and get dinner started.

Here is how the toddler beds are going, he ended up in her bed he loves his sissy

Here is nap time notice himby the door and everything on the floor in their room

Playing at Wonderplace, they loved it we were there for a couple hours. Kelsey of course did not want to leave. We went on Grandparents day so Jims parents got in free and they only charged us for 1 child and 1 adult guess it pays to have twins :). Notice Kelseys new shoes, yes the stride rites we got her at the end of July no longer fit she had a growth spurt or something. So she got a new pair of nike tennis shoes on this trip and she loves them. I wish I took pictures of her modeling them at the store.

She played with this for a long time

Tita took out the sprinkler and they ran through it they loved it..

Heres some of the toys they get to play with at papa and Titas

This is the tricycle we get to play with there, Jim's parents got them regular trikes for Christmas and this one is for their house.

We went to Little Rock the 1st weekend in Sept for the game (Jim bought LR tickets this year for his dad for Father's day) Paula and I hung around the house with the kiddos. Sunday we went to church with them and came home and the twins played and loved it. Monday (Labor Day we went to Wonderplace before we left LR the twins had alot of fun.

Jim was on vacation last week and the twins started Moms Day out on Wednesday so we put together the twins toddler beds (I really dont have the patience for this) nap time is horrible during the day and bed time is too unless they are tired. They are gated in their bedroom but they destroy everything, today I went up to find him climbing up the dresser good thing we have that secured to the wall. What is funny though is Kelsey rolls underneath her bed and sleeps there then can't figure out how to get out in the morning. Carson came running to the gate this morning reaching out his hand for my help to get her out from under the bed. Total kodak moment but do I bring my camera to their room at 7am NO.

Carson gives his sissy hugs and kisses all the time its so precious!

Updates

Here is Carsons Christmas gift we are getting Kelsey one too. The only reason we got his is because I went to Rhea Lanas this year big consignment sale (I am consigning this year) and just happen to find this. IT was only used once and was 50.00 at WMT it was 70 so we saved some money. If you like to shop you should check out Rhea Lanas (www.rhealana.com) for kids clothes, it was packed in there tonight and I had no desire to look through any of the racks. I did find books and a toy see I stuck to my list :) and didnt come out with a bunch of stuff we dont need.
Here is Carsons bandaged hand from his burn

Poor baby!!!! I love him and his hand is all better now
He still didnt get the idea that it was hot and hurt him the next day he touched it again only it wasnt hot.
I know its been a month since my last post... I am a busy lady.
A few weeks ago Carson burnt his had on the exhaust of the 4 wheeler, we took him to WellQuest thank GOD it was not 2nd or 3rd degree. They told us to put silverdine on it and keep it wrapped up for a couple days.
Church activities started up again this week so I am working again now.... staying busy. HOGS game this weekend in Little ROCK!!! YEAH!

Updates

My step mom got Kelsey this dress in Mexico, she wouldnt turn around so I couldnt get the front. Its so cute!

IT rained this day (cant remember what day this was) Jim thought it would be fun to let them stand on the front porch to watch it pour.

My sister Meredith and baby Atari at grandmas he is sooo big

Atari trying to escape all the people, babies, and food

All the great grandkids playing legos and their parents watching!!!! Jack is in the brown he is my cousin Joes son

My brother Bobby with the twins (Kelsey had a rough time) not sure if it was allergies but anytime we would go to grandmas she would bang her head on the ground and throw fits. Jim had to leave with them one night to go back to the hotel because she was out of control.

This was the first Friday on the square in July, this Friday will be another one we may go.

This was fathers day!

See how behind I am, this was back in June at Carla's she invited us over to play with Isabella's sand and water table. Since it was soooo hot, we couldn't do anything we thought this was a cool off activitiy. Yeah Kelsey loved it and was covered from head to toe in SAND.. Note to self if I ever buy this table or someone buys it for us do not buy sand I will put water in both sides since sand is no fun to clean up.

Okay I know its been over a month since the last post, seriously I have been staying busy this summer. Of course keeping the twins busy too :) we are trying to be outside as much as possible since I dont want them in front of the tv. However when its really hot we have to get creative and find things to do inside.

The twins really love playing with SIDEWALK chalk and whoever invented it ROCKS. The twins love it and it keeps them busy outside. We play in the backyard since they have their swingset and I can let them run around the back yard and know they can't get out and go in the street. They color with sidewalk chalk on the patio in the shady spots (well I shouldnt say color, since they don't draw elaborate pictures) just lines. However its better than nothing and they usually see me draw or write something and want to copy.

Last week we took a trip to Charlotte North Carolina to see my grandma who turned 90 last month. Jim and I went a couple years ago before the kids. We had talked about going a few months ago but my dad said they werent going to be able to make it, then out of the blue he said they were leaving on Tuesday and driving. So we booked last minute plane tickets and went. It was great since my grandma has not seen any of the great grandkids, plus I got to see Atari. Jim and I saw Atari last year when he was like a month old when we went to MN.

Next year there is talk of renting a beach house in NC and taking grandma there and spending a week, so we are definaltey looking forward to that plan. If we can all get on the same page and get it organized.

Carson got ear tubes the 9th of July and he is doing SO much better! He is talking more now and sleeping better. Saying please, cup, ball, juice, shoe, sissy. He knows more when you talk to him he just cant say the words yet. Kelsey could care less about saying words, she does say EI EI O they have a video that has old Macdonald song on it.

Overall just so happy :). We are still working on using silverware to eat with, I have not been pushing it since its so hard with 2. I got rid of their high chairs and they exclusivley sit at their table now (which is hard because 1 or both get up during meals and wander). Ugh!!! I need to get them using the spoon at least when I have they do a couple scoops then its all over the place I know I need to chill but I really would love my floors to stay clean for a day. It will come in time, they start MDO soon so maybe they will pick it up from the other kids. We have tried potty training, but no go. They go in the bathroom and Kelsey gets the seat but then when I put it on the potty she gets mad. That will come in time too!!! not pushing that one.

Church activities start up again this week so now I will be back working Wednesday nights, Sunday mornings, nights (Sun nights start the 16th) and Tuesday mornings starting Sept. Which is good I will get out of the house in the winter and its only a couple hours a time. Sundays are going to be hard because I work the nursery in the mornings, then church service, then home by 1 and then back to church by 4:15. It will work out, and nothing is definate so if I dont want to work a Sunday night for awhile then I wont.

Sorry pictures are all out of whack I hate blogger and dont know how to organize the pictures!!! Well I must go now, I have alot to do while the twins are napping. (YES they are finally taking 1 long nap) usually 10-11 and they sleep until 1230-1 ish.....

Father's Day

Are you noticing that my posting has been less and less now that the twins are into EVERYTHING :). Love it and wouldn't change it however I do wish I could do more posting but oh well.

I will post some pictures later, I have some other things to do right now and don't have time for the slow computer to do its thing.

Saturday was the new session of swim lessons and the twins were in a NEW class. Now that they are 18 months they go in the 18-36 month class. It was so so I thought it was going to be the same teacher as last session (but it wasn't) it was some kid and we bascially did what we wanted with them and there was no structure.... I think Ms Jo teaches the 10:30 class (however thats kind of late for us) I will need to talk to Jim and find out and maybe ask Ms Jo next week if she teaches it. I guess the main thing is that the kids are in the water however it makes it hard to attend when there is really no structure whats the point of having a teacher there.

Then Jim got an Iphone the new one that came out on Saturday (he drove to the WM in Missouri) and told me I should get the older one. Everyone knows me and I don't like spending money and my intention and goal was to get a free phone, since mine was on its last leg. Every time I would close the cover it would turn off and then I would have to wait for it to turn back on. SO I got the Iphone too, I probably wont use it as much as Jim but its cool, you just have to learn to set limits. Since it has WIFI I dont have to get up from the sofa to come in the office to use the computer or go get the laptop. I still use the computers though because there are somethings I can do faster on here then the phone.

I will definatley be keeping the phone for a long time, since we doubled our bill (which makes me cringe in itself) I better use it for a long time :).

Today we attempted story time again and it went very well, better than I thought. I had been dreading going back because its right at their morning nap time (which I am trying to get rid of that nap) and thought they would be running all over the place. Carson only tried to escape a couple times other than that he sat in my lap or by me and watched and listened. Kelsey wouldn't sit down she would just stand there or walk around but she stayed in the circle I think we will go again next week. We won't be able to go when school starts again because I work at Church on Tues mornings and they are at MDO Wednesday mornings that they will miss it.

This afternoon I am taking Carson back to the dr. for a follow up on his ear infection he had a couple weeks ago. I also got copies of his records from Wellquest since I had to take him there a few times when I couldnt get in to the peditrician. He has had 3 so far, so if its still there today I am really going to have to bring up tubes again (I think it will be best for all if he gets them). He has been very clingy lately and not eating well which makes me believe he still has it. He cannot take Augmentin or Amoxicillian due to his penicilin allergy so maybe the meds werent strong enough... UH!!!

I will follow up later with an update on his ear and pictures

Updates

Sunday after church playing with daddys hat he was so happy about something
Pretty girl! Its funny they will play with daddys hat and have a good time but we try putting hats on them to wear when we are outside and they take them off.

My pretty girl again!!!!

DADDYS hat is cool

Papa and Tita got Kelsey this dress I love it she can still wear it to church and she can wear it to play in too. She loved putting it over her head all day long

Here they are eating their snack, as you can see they don't sit for long at their table unless you are sitting there with them. This is one of the outfits Tita got for Carson, Jim isnt to fond of the one pieces but I love them because they are light and comfy. They love GOLDFISH (this is our new snack now).

Here is a rainbow for a storm a few nights ago it may have been last Thursday or Friday I really cant remember. Jim and I had to go outside because the sky was literally orange I wanted to check it out.

We went to Dave Peel park a couple times when my mom was here. Its fun, I may do a picnic with the twins sometime and maybe Daddy can come when he is on vacation. There really aren't a lot of things for kids their age to do there its geared more for 5 and up but they like these swings when we can get them. They will attempt slides too! I think this was on a weekday so hardly anyone was there.

The twins are doing great, keeping me busy as usual. Nap time is pretty much the only time I get to clean up the house and get on the computer. We try to go to the fitness center every day or every other day and I am going to brave library time again and see how they do. Jim said he may be able to come to the library time to help me (since my kids dont sit still). It has been raining all morning, I left for the fitness center to go work out and it started raining when I got out on the main road I thought it would let up. It didnt so I sat in the parking lot at the gym for 20 minutes and decided to leave. There was no way I could get them out and try holding hand with an umbrella at the same time.
